Returns and Warranty


Returns
ECS Electronics understand that you may want to return kits that are not needed. This can be because of the change over year for a vehicle model or perhaps the customer didn't give you the correct information for you to order or the courier delivered the order later than requested/expected. You can return your unwanted electric kit at your own shipping expense for a refund under the terms and conditions given here.

NB: If a product is purchased from our SPECIAL OFFER page and you would like to return, we must be told within 14 days of receipt of the goods and the return must be made within another 14 days for us to be able to issue a credit/refund.

If a wiring kit has been supplied as per order placed has been fitted or partially fitted and subsequently found to be not suitable or not required, it is with regret we cannot accept back for return unless a warranty concern. (Please see warranty section).

If you purchased your ECS Electronics wiring kit from another company please contact them directly to use their returns procedure.

These terms and conditions apply for the return of unwanted wiring kits. If the goods are being returned as faulty or under warranty please refer to the 'Warranty' section.


SPARE MODULES:
Replacement modules and flasher relays come under the classification of dedicated computer software. These can only be returned with a returns reference number issued by our Warranty/Technical department. 
Modules and relays returned without a reference number will not be credited.


IMPORTANT:
Unwanted goods can only be returned if we receive them within 30 days from the purchase date. After this time unwanted or unneeded goods cannot be returned. Conditions: Goods can ONLY be returned on condition that they are received by us within 30 days from the purchase date. (shown on your invoice). Packaging must be intact (including the paper wrap), the box must not be written on or have labels applied. Items being returned must be sent in additional packaging. Items returned with shipping labels attached directly to the box will incur a repacking charge.


The amount of refund is ruled by the following conditions.
• If the packaging is unopened and is received in good condition then the refund will be 100% of the purchase price less shipping cost.
• If the packaging is unopened but received in a scruffy or damaged condition then there is 15% charge for re-packaging and restocking.
• If the packaging has been opened you can still return the kit to us but due to ECS Electronics being accredited to ISO/TS16949 status we will have to return the kit to our quality section in The Netherlands to have the contents verified. In this case we would offer a partial refund based on deducting the shipping costs and work required to make the kit saleable and put back into stock as new.


NB: The processing of re-working can take up to 1 month from receipt of the kit. Credit can only be issued after this process.

If the kit has been opened and installed or partially installed this would be a warranty issue and cannot be returned as a return item.

Enclosed with the return must be:

• The ECS Electronics invoice number
• Reason for the return. (i.e. not needed, wrong vehicle year etc.)

Warranty
Problems and faults can happen either when installing the product or after a period of time. ECS Electronics are happy to offer their customers a 2 year 'return to base' warranty on the electric kits, excluding the external 7pin or 13pin socket.


All warranty claims must follow the procedure as documented here.

When a fault or problem is identified the technician must contact the Freephone fitter support helpline during normal office hours. Telephone 07440 202052. If you do not contact the fitter support helpline and receive a warranty claim reference number we cannot support a warranty claim.

If the problem or fault is identified as the responsibility of ECS we will do our best to either send a replacement part or kit. If any action is required this will be discussed and decided upon during the fitter support telephone call. If the agreed action is to send replacement parts we will invoice you for the replacement parts and the shipping. If the claim is upheld we will credit your account when we receive the faulty/damaged parts at our UK warranty department.

NB: The normal processing time for a warranty claim is one month.

IMPORTANT:
If the kit is returned and any breaks or damage to the cable harness are identified that might be caused by poor installation or independent connections (i.e. Scotchlocks or soldering) we cannot support a warranty claim.

Enclosed with the return must be:

• The ECS Electronics invoice number
• The ECS Electronics warranty reference number (Provided by the ECS Electronics fitter support telephone call)
